Reflection On Mt 5:43-48 June 18, 2019 Tuesday

Today enimity, hatred, divisive forces, wrong policies and negative politics and adversities are very much on the increase. We can notice these in every society, state, religious groups and across the seas. Violence creates a spiral of violence- violence followed by retaliation, counters retaliation in succession. What is the alternative? The only alternative is as Jesus says, Love your enemies and when struck on one cheek show the other. This is to be like Christ. Love absorbs violence and generates love. Let us consciously model the teachings and example of Jesus and build a society where the love of the Heavenly Father may make us perfect as He is.
