Reflection     Mt 8:18-22    July 1, 2019 Monday

-Foxes have dens and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to rest his head.-

Jesus reminded us of the cost of discipleship: to imitate his lifestyle and participate in his destiny; willing to be homeless and renounce earthly possessions for God’s Kingdom.

-Follow Me, and let the dead bury their dead.-

Jesus taught us to spend more energies only in things with a future.

-Although we do not see the decision made by each follower, we can identify ourselves with any of these two depending on our life’s situation.

Discipleship is not about making a total commitment.
